Hello Samantha,

I saw your story on abc News this morning, I am an Iraqi girl living in the war zone in Iraq, I admired what you have done up on the summit of Everest...I wish that Iraqi teenagers get the chance one day to improve their skills and hobbies instead of hiding inside their houses, listening to the sound of bombs and being witnesses for every - day- blood bath scene...

You are now the first teenager who claims the Everest! WOW!! your name will hit the history...watch!

God bless you

AWESOME! You'll love hiking in the hills of Marin County. It's not Everest but it's beautiful hiking, just north of San Francisco.

Much warmer too, I'm sure.

You've done more in 18 years than many have in twice as long. Keep up the pace. Life is short.

Congratulations Samantha & Dave!!

Just came across your blog, and wish we had access to your full story. Please scan in all your articles that seem to be appearing in your local newpapers and post them on this blog when you arrive home safely.

You are an inspiration to all of us that hope to just reach basecamp.

Anyone can dream, but it takes a special person to realise those wishes.

Congratulations Samantha!

You're an inspiration. Makes my 'adventure' of traveling around Spain on a motorbike pale into insignificance. I would now like to climb the highest mountain in Spain, Mt. Mulhacén (3482 m/11,424 ft). This is nothing compared to your conquests, but could be a good start.
Can you recommend a website or book where I can found out what's required for such a climb.

You're a heroin!

Good luck for the descent,
John
