Congratulations, Samantha! As the mother of a new baby girl (seven months old now) I am always looking for stories to tell her about the limitless world of possibilities before her. What you and your dad have accomplished is definitely on the list. I am very proud of you and so excited to tell Piper all about it when she is old enough to understand, her climbing right now is limited to stair cases and crib rails. Way to go, Samantha (and not too bad, Dad, either!). Safe journeys!

Miss Samantha,
Congrats to you and your Dad. One summit is an accomplishment, two would be awesome, but seven? You are amazing! You will certainly inspire other young women (and men), but I hope noone breaks your record for a long time.
Tell your Dad that Larry Elder was discussing the two of you on his 790KABC radio show yesterday (Tuesday, May 22nd). Mr. Elder was extremely critical of your Dad for putting you in danger. I hope he will have the decency to have the two of you on as interview guests so that he can hear how well-prepared and well-trained you were for each climb. He was very 'quick to judge' and I was a little surprised.
Thank you for putting Long Beach in the news in a most positive way and for clearly inspiring people from all over the world!
All the best to you. The sky's the limit . . . or beyond!

Congratulations for the feat! As a stranger passing through your blog, may I ask you a personal question? I would be grateful if you answer and also I would not mind if I do not get the reply but I'd like to ask anyway. "What was the first thing that came in your mind when you saw the view from atop Mt. Everest?"

Hello Ms. Larson,

I am a teacher with Virginia Beach Public Schools located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. My classes have read your magazine article entitled “Peak Performance” and your blog entries regarding your climb to the summit Mount Everest. We have also watched a YouTube clip of you interviewing with Jim Clash from Adventurer about your expedition with your father. My students enjoyed reading about you and your goals of scaling the seven summits and have created a list of questions they would like to asked you. Please take the opportunity to answer the questions at your earliest convenience. These questions come from my sixth grade Language Arts class. We look forward to hearing from you and there are more questions to follow from my other students who are reading about your expedition to the summit of Mount Everest as well. If there is any other information you would like to convey to the students besides answering the questions please do so. If interested, my school district does have Skype capabilities so if interested please let me know.

Student Questions
1. Did you have time for any outside relationships while climbing all the seven summits?
2. Do you want to keep climbing with you father or with other people?
3. Did any of your friends climb the summits with you?
4. How much did it cost for travel expenses and so forth to climb the seven summits?
5. How long has climbing the seven summits been your goal?
